Training workshops
Whilst this not a core part of our business, we deliver workshops to help educate people about the opportunities and challenges associated with integrating the social web in business today. These sessions tend to be tailored but workshops we have run include:
Our Social PR workshop introduces teams/groups to the opportunity presented by the social web when joined up with the wider communications effort. It can be tailored for communication savvy teams or for other teams/individuals who perhaps need convincing of the case for using social media. Either way, this workshop guides participants towards developing a ‘social media mindset’.
The Foundry House delivered a social media workshop for us a little while back and it was just what we needed. They had to appeal to a fairly large group of communications staff, all with different levels of knowledge, but the content and examples hit the mark perfectly and we all learned a lot. The exercises were particularly useful as they forced us to apply what we‚d heard to our own needs.Helen Gregorios-Pippas, Improvement East
Twitter for Business workshop – this 2 – 3 hour workshop (subject to numbers) gets you started in Twitter. It covers everything you need to know and saves hours of fruitless tweeting.
Within the space of a couple of hours we were up to speed on the etiquette of tweeting, had learnt about ‘hash-tags’, DMs and lists, as well as the mechanics of tweeting retweeting and what to put in our Twitter profiles.
The workshop was extremely useful and TFH team did a great job in answering questions as well as covering loads of ground within such a short time. It was an excellent introduction to Twitter, suitable for the absolute novice and for someone like me, who had dabbled in tweeting but not got to grips with all the mechanics.Kate Atkin, Aspire-2
Marcie & Dave covered a huge amount of information in a short space of time, from the basics of setting up an account, following, tweeting, retweeting and using hashtags, through Twitter etiquette, to the business value of mining our followers’ followers. I would strongly recommend the workshop to both complete beginners and those with a Twitter account but little or no idea of how to make the most of it in business terms.Helen Poole, Marketing Manager, Bailey Fisher
