The Foundry House team is made up of people with many years of experience and an unerring commitment to strategic, creative communication and project management. The core team includes specialists in campaign planning, project management, media relations, event management and web and social media.
When we need more hands on deck or a different skill set, we are able to draw on our extensive network of talented associates, including photographers with an eye for detail, designers with creative flair and film/web content producers with years of production experience. This allows us to deliver all that is needed for fully integrated communications campaigns.

Marcie has spent over 20 years in a combination of agency and in-house PR/marketing roles. Her broad experience (consumer, B2B, and corporate) across the marketing communications mix has given her a rare combination of skills which is augmented by her extensive network of highly skilled associates. A firm advocate of the role of communications in driving and supporting business growth, Marcie excels in spotting opportunities to accelerate business growth by taking a helicopter view across a business.
Marcie began her career in financial PR with Lowe Bell Financial, working with a wide range of Footsie 100 companies. She later moved to Scotland and worked in-house, handling PR for a high profile portfolio of whisky brands including Famous Grouse. In the last 10 years her work – both agency and in-house – has focused on delivering integrated marketing communications, drawing on a plethora of channels to deliver cost-effective, joined up plans.
Marcie has worked in a wide range of sectors including banking, hotels/leisure, aviation, drinks, healthcare, lighting, business support and the public sector. Luke Brynley-Jones
Having worked on more than 40 major online and mobile services, Luke is one of the UK’s most experienced social networking experts. Back in 2001 he co-founded the UK’s first social networking consultancy, advising clients such as British Airways and the YMCA on how to facilitate online interaction with and between their customers.
In 2005 he launched etribes, the blogging and photo-sharing network, before leaving to head up the Product Team at Trutap, the popular mobile social network. In 2009 Luke set up School for Startups with ex-Dragon’s Den star, Doug Richard, touring the county teaching other entrepreneurs how to succeed in their ventures, and in 2010 he co-founded Influence People, the social media events company with Murray Newlands.
Luke hosts the Monitoring Social Media and Social Media Marketing series of conferences in London and he also runs the popular Monitoring Social Media LinkedIn Group. In his ’spare’ time Luke provides social media strategy consultancy for several leading brands. He also teaches Social Media Marketing for the University of Essex, Business Link and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Dave is a specialist in online innovation for the public sector. With a track record featuring work with small local councils all the way up to 10 Downing Street, he has a reputation for developing organisation’s use of digital engagement techniques quickly and effectively.
A prolific blogger at davepress.net, Dave runs his own consultancy business, specialising in helping public services open up and make the most of social tools. In his work with the Foundry House, he brings his skills and knowledge to our wider-ranging communications and marketing projects, and gets to flex his private sector muscles too.
Happy whether speaking at conferences, coming up with ideas in strategy meetings, delivering training to teams or writing helpful content, Dave’s enthusiasm has helped encourage clients to experiment and innovate.
One example of this is the Foundry House’s work with EEDA, who went from a standing start in social media, to blogging, tweeting and YouTube-ing in less than six months.

Alex is a results-driven and creative communications professional with over 17 years experience in delivering local, European and global PR and marketing campaigns.
The majority of Alex’s career has been spent within agency PR, focused on B2B press, public relations and corporate communications. She has led cost-effective and successful campaigns for a range of companies in the hi-tech sector from large global organisations to small, local companies.
During the course of her career Alex has worked in the electronics, IT, print/packaging and industrial automation sectors. More recently she transferred her project management skills and effective organisational and communication expertise to the charity and public sectors.

Suzy has amassed strategic and tactical event experience during more than 20 years of creative event planning and delivery. Her meticulous approach to scoping events has seen her successfully deliver events of all sizes, from small dinners for 20 to large conferences for 1000+ delegates with streamed breakouts. Forward planning is a particular strength which Suzy brings to all aspects of her work. She is adept at considering the needs of multiple stakeholders, from delegates and speakers to caterers, sponsors and sound technicians and she can be relied on to leave no stone unturned whilst staying remarkably calm no matter what!
Examples of projects Suzy has worked with The Foundry House to deliver include Landmark East and Running the Gauntlet, both of which had events at their heart (see project management).
Suzy is an occasional lecturer on events management for the University of Cambridge Careers Group and has recently been approached by Anglia Ruskin University with a request to mentor a student from their prestigious BA (Hons) Enterprise and Entrepreneurial Management.

Louise is a strategic marketing and communications specialist with over 10 years’ experience across the public and private sectors. She began her career working in public relations at the University of Cambridge before joining an integrated marketing agency where she delivered campaigns for a wide range of B2B and B2C clients including Anglian Water, Siemens, Vintage Travel and a variety of education clients.
Louise went on to spend five years (latterly as Head of External Relations) at the East of England Development Agency where her work involved a combination of strategic marketing, public affairs and change management. She now operates as an independent consultant working on B2B and B2C client briefs.
Louise is a Prince 2 qualified project manager and a member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Adam is an experienced web developer, copywriter and project manager. He is trained in technical writing, proofreading and project management and also works with HTML, CSS, PHP and other web technologies, in particular WordPress.
Adam is experienced in site structuring, copy writing and editing, integrated marketing campaigns, e-mail marketing, and long term strategic planning. He has also provided training in HTML, web writing and a variety of bespoke, out of the box and open source content management systems.
Adam’s career to date has included roles in the pharmaceutical industry and public sector. His wide ranging experience positions him well to understand the links between people and technology and he uses this to help produce user-focused online solutions which fit a wider strategic aim.
The Foundry House site is testament to Adam’s web development prowess – as is Atlantic Accelerator, among others.

With more than 20 years experience in marketing communications, copywriting and PR, Angela has worked with local, national and international organisations in almost all industry sectors. Delivering assignments of every size, from a snippet destined for the regional press to a major communications strategy review, Angela is also author of ‘Teach Yourself Business Presentations’ (Hodder and Stoughton, 1999), and ‘Teach Yourself Public Relations’, the third edition of which (retitled ‘Effective PR’) was published in September 2010.
A graduate of the University of Cambridge, Angela’s career began at a start up jewellery company where she was involved in sales and design. She then taught in Greece for two years, returning to the UK to become publicity controller at a well known publishing house, before moving on to be senior consultant at an award winning PR consultancy.
With copywriting a particular skill, Angela has written for in-house journals, websites, trade magazines, and the national press. She also produces copy for all forms of marketing collateral.
